Late in the evening on April 9, 1985, Sean O’Leary was born in Morristown, New Jersey to Cris and Michael O’Leary. Shortly thereafter, his parents divorced and Sean stayed with his father. Michael remarried to Robin Byrne and had two children, Shannon and Kevin. The majority of Sean’s formative years were spent residing in Hopatcong, New Jersey beside Lake Hopatcong.
Sean moved to Florida shortly after turning 18 to reside with his mother and step-father, Frank Salazar. He finished his last semester of high school at Chamberlain High in Tampa, Florida, took a few classes at the Hillsborough Community College and went on to attend the University of South Florida. Sean entered the university as a psychology major but after a year he switched to philosophy. Sean never graduated and left the university and Florida in 2011. From there he went to Austin, Texas, where he still resides.
Early on Sean had an interest in the arts. From 1991 to 2000, Sean attended art classes (outside of school) focusing on pencil and charcoal. From 2000 to 2003, Sean participated in theater (in school), most notably starring as Puck in A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Also, Sean has played bass since 2001 and composed music since 2012. He has played in many bands over the years ranging from ska to jazz to rock, punk and metal. His most recent band, No, I’m the Leader, can be found on most major musical platforms.
With the interest in the arts, philosophy and science, Sean has brought a wide variety of ideas through in his writing. Sean has published some poems and will soon be publishing some collections of poetry. After a few attempts at writing novels, he is finally on his way to publishing his first manuscript, i, the Storm.
